Quark RMR
Quark RMR Testing
Our Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) assessment allows you to see how many calories you burn at rest and what you are burning (fat or carbohydrate). From this data, we can use an activity factor to determine how many calories you need to eat to either lose, gain or maintain your current body weight. This is especially important if you have recently lost or gained weight as predicted metabolic rates are not accurate after weight loss or gain.
Schedule Your AppointmentHow the Quark RMR Works
The Quark RMR system uses indirect calorimetry, analyzing the amount of oxygen and carbon dioxide you are expiring. From these values, we are able to calculate your energy expended. The end result of this test is the number of calories you would expend in one day if you did no activity.
